Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. We collect information needed to operate accounts, process orders, and prepare authorized filings. This may include your name, email address, phone number, proposed company name, business and mailing addresses, member, manager, organizer, and registered-agent information, authorization records, communication preferences, limited written call or support notes, and delivered state documents.

Payment information. Stripe processes payments. Your full card number is provided to Stripe, not LLC for Humans. We receive limited billing and transaction information such as your name, amount paid, card brand, and last four digits.

Information collected automatically. The Site and its service providers collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring pages through cookies and similar technologies. We use it to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

Customer calls. A real LLC for Humans team member conducts the formation confirmation call. LLC for Humans does not audio-record or transcribe live customer calls. We may keep limited written operational notes, such as the call date, operator, outcome, filing facts confirmed, corrections requested, communication preferences, and next action. Do not provide Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or other sensitive identity information during a call. A voicemail voluntarily left for us may be stored by our communications provider long enough for us to respond and meet applicable operational or legal requirements.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate accounts; prepare, review, submit, and track authorized filings; process payments and refunds; send transactional messages; deliver private documents; conduct human order-confirmation and milestone outreach; provide support; prevent abuse; improve and secure the Services; comply with law; and enforce our Terms. We do not use formation information for advertising.

We do not use customer calls or formation filing information to train or fine-tune an AI model unless we first provide a separate disclosure and obtain your affirmative consent. If you later choose a separately offered AI-powered service, its scope and applicable data-use terms will be disclosed before you subscribe.

3. California Public Records Notice

Information included in filings with the California Secretary of State may become public. This can include the company name, business addresses, and the names and addresses of members, managers, or agents shown on filed documents. Anyone may view public records, and LLC for Humans cannot remove information from the state's public record. Review the filing and public-record warning carefully before authorizing submission.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed:

• With carefully selected service providers that perform requested or operational services for us, including registered-agent, business-filing, EIN-administration, mail and document handling, compliance, infrastructure, database, payment, email, communications, storage, and analytics providers.
• With the California Secretary of State or another government agency for a filing or service you authorize.
• With professional advisers and when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when needed to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the policy then in effect.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We disclose only information reasonably necessary for the selected service. When a provider processes information on our behalf, we require appropriate contractual restrictions concerning permitted use, confidentiality, security, retention, and disclosure. If a provider offers a service directly under its own terms, we will identify that relationship and provide the applicable terms and privacy information before direct enrollment or sensitive information sharing. Optional third-party services are not activated automatically.

5. Cookies and Browser Signals

You can control cookies through browser settings, although disabling them may limit Site functions. Because there is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, order, filing, authorization, audit, and delivered-document records as needed to provide the Services and meet legal, tax, audit, dispute, and security obligations. On a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify information that we are not required to retain. Deletion cannot remove information from a California public record.

Do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email. Use only the secure process identified by LLC for Humans when sensitive information is required.

We do not request or accept Social Security numbers through ordinary email, customer calls, or the general formation intake. If an approved EIN or related service requires sensitive identity information, we will provide a separately identified secure collection process and the applicable provider and privacy disclosures.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transmission, access controls, private document storage, short-lived document links, and restricted administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will provide legally required breach notifications.

8. Your Choices and California Privacy Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting help@llcforhumans.com. We verify identity before acting and honor requests subject to legal and operational retention requirements, regardless of whether statutory California Consumer Privacy Act thresholds currently apply. We do not discriminate against customers for making a privacy request.

9. Children

The Services are for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent Site notice before they take effect. The effective date identifies the version in effect.
